Residents of Langdon were invited to attend a public open house to learn more about our project and our Neighbourhood Plan Application currently under review by Rocky View County. The development team was on hand to answer questions and gather feedback from participants. All feedback collected throughout the entire public engagement process was compiled and summarized to create a 'What We Heard' Report - available now for your review below.
The public’s participation and active engagement throughout the Painted Sky Neighbourhood Plan Application process has been immensely valuable to our development team. The residents of Langdon truly have an in-depth understanding of the needs and priorities of the greater community, and the input received is vital for us to finalize the Neighbourhood Plan. We combined the feedback we received from the Open House, individual comments we have received through the website and the results from our online survey, and we created a 'What We Heard' Report to summarize and respond to the public’s interest in the evolution of Painted Sky.
The Painted Sky Neighbourhood Plan area is located in Langdon, Rocky View County, approximately 20 minutes east of the city of Calgary. The lands are located immediately south of Provincial Highway 560 (Glenmore Trail), east of Range Road 273 (Vale View Road) and north of Township Road 233 (Railway Avenue). The existing neighbourhood of Langdon Crossings West and the proposed neighbourhood of Mornington are located immediately to the east.
The Painted Sky Neighbourhood Plan [Conceptual Scheme] application is currently under review by Rocky View County. The plan focuses on the NW ¼ and a portion of the SW ¼ of the neighborhood and includes a detailed development concept for a specific area. It addresses things such as proposed density, servicing and transportation, and high-level information on what the built environment will look like including lot configuration and parcel sizes.
